Sebastian Scheel is a German politician currently serving as State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Climate Protection. Previously, he held significant roles in Berlin politics, including serving as the Senator for Urban Development and Housing from 2020 to 2021 and as a member of the Berlin House of Representatives. Throughout his career, he has been involved in fiscal and urban policy, having also served as a long-time member of the Landtag of Saxony. Originally a member of the Left Party, he joined the SPD in 2025.
