橋本聖子

Seiko Hashimoto is a prominent Japanese politician and former elite athlete who has served as a member of the House of Councillors since 1995. A seven-time Olympian in speed skating and cycling, she earned a bronze medal in the 1500m speed skating event at the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics. Throughout her political career, she has held several high-profile positions, including Minister for the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games and President of the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee. She is currently the President of the Japanese Olympic Committee and the Japan Rifle Shooting Association.
