Seung-rae Jo is a South Korean politician currently serving his third term as a member of the National Assembly, representing the Yuseong-gu district of Daejeon. A member of the Democratic Party of Korea, he has held various leadership roles within the party, including Secretary-General and Chief Spokesperson. Throughout his legislative career, he has been deeply involved in education, science, and technology policy, having served on the Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee and the Education Committee. Before entering elected office, he served as an administrative officer in the Office of the President during the Roh Moo-hyun administration and as Chief of Staff to the Governor of South Chungcheong Province.
