Пономарёв, Сергей Михайлович

Sergey Ponomarev is a Kazakhstani politician, journalist, and public figure currently serving as a member of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan for the eighth convocation. Before entering national politics, he had a distinguished career in media, working as a journalist and news anchor for Kazakh Radio, KTK, and Khabar, and serving as the head of the Central Asian bureau for Russia's Channel One. He also served as a deputy of the Almaty City Maslikhat and as an advisor to the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kazakhstan. In 2025, he was elected chairman of the Association of Russian, Slavic, and Cossack Organizations of Kazakhstan.
