Sergio Muñoz Jr. is an American attorney and politician serving as a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives for District 36 since 2011. Raised in Mission, Texas, he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. In addition to his legislative career, he owns and operates the Muñoz Law Firm. Throughout his tenure in the Texas House, he has served on various committees, including Agriculture & Livestock and Ways & Means, and previously held vice-chair positions on the House Insurance and Land & Resource Management committees.
