Shadiya Alimatou Assouman

Shadiya Alimatou Assouman is a Beninese politician and educator currently serving as a government minister in Benin. Originally from Djougou in the Donga Department, she has held the position of Minister of Industry and Trade since September 2019. In March 2026, she was additionally appointed as the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Arts. Throughout her career, she has focused on internal commerce and the formalization of the national economy, having previously served in the government under President Patrice Talon and subsequently under President Romuald Wadagni.
