Shae Sortwell is an American politician serving as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 2nd Assembly district since 2019. Born in Saratoga Springs, New York, he attended the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay and served nine years in the United States Army Reserve. Before his election to the state legislature, he served on the Green Bay city council and the Gibson town board. A member of the Republican Party, Sortwell has been involved in various legislative controversies, including his opposition to COVID-19 mandates and his 2025 appointment as vice chair of the Government Oversight Accountability and Transparency Committee.
