Shaikh Rabiul Alam

Shaikh Rabiul Alam is a Bangladeshi politician and member of the Jatiya Sangsad representing the Dhaka-10 constituency, currently serving as the Minister of Road Transport and Bridges, Railways, and Shipping under Tarique Rahman's cabinet. A member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and managing director of Pleasant Properties Limited, he won the Dhaka-10 seat in the February 2026 general election after previously contesting in 2018. His political career has involved controversies, including temporary suspension by the BNP in late 2024 following allegations in a high-profile murder case, as well as public debate in 2026 over his statements regarding transport sector levies.
