Буктугутов, Шакарым Сабырович

Shakarym Sabyrovich Buktugutov is a Kazakhstani state official currently serving as the Deputy Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region. Born in Kokshetau in 1961, he graduated from the Ust-Kamenogorsk Civil Engineering Institute as a mechanical engineer and later earned an economics degree from the East Kazakhstan State University. Throughout his extensive career in regional administration and state enterprises, he has served as the Akim of Ust-Kamenogorsk, head of Ridder, and chairman of the board for the regional public-private partnership center before assuming his current deputy akim position in March 2020.
