Shane Mekeland

Shane Mekeland is an American politician serving as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2019. Representing District 27A, he has been reelected every two years and serves on the Climate and Energy Finance and Policy and Labor and Industry Finance and Policy Committees. Before his political career, Mekeland worked as a general contractor and owned a convenience store for two decades. His legislative focus has included advocating for Second Amendment sanctuary status at the county level and introducing controversial legislation regarding mRNA treatments. He resides in Clear Lake, Minnesota.
