Shane Moynihan

Shane Moynihan is an Irish politician serving as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin Mid-West constituency since the 2024 general election. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, where he earned a PhD in political science, he previously served as a member of the South Dublin County Council for the Palmerstown–Fonthill area from 2019 to 2024. Politically, he is described as a traditional Fianna Fáil member who supports a United Ireland, the restoration of the Irish language, and maintains an Atlanticist perspective on international relations.
