Sharice Davids is an American politician and attorney serving as the U.S. Representative for Kansas's 3rd congressional district since 2019. A member of the Ho-Chunk Nation, she made history as one of the first two Native American women elected to Congress and the first openly LGBT person to represent Kansas in the federal legislature. Before her political career, Davids worked as an attorney and was a professional mixed martial artist. In Congress, she has focused on economic development, healthcare access, and infrastructure, serving on the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the Committee on Agriculture.
