Shea Backus

Shea Backus is an American politician and attorney currently serving as a member of the Nevada Assembly, representing the 37th district. Born in 1975 in Las Vegas, Nevada, she is a third-generation Nevadan. Backus earned a Bachelor of Science in management science from the University of California, San Diego, and later obtained her Juris Doctor and an Indian Law Certificate from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 2003, she has maintained a legal career alongside her legislative service since her election to the Assembly in 2018.
