Julie Kushner

Julie Kushner is an American politician and former labor union leader serving as a member of the Connecticut State Senate for the 24th district. Before entering elected office, she had a long career with the United Auto Workers (UAW), where she served as a subregional director and advocated for the rights of clerical, technical, and academic workers at institutions such as Columbia University and New York University. She also served as co-chair of the Connecticut Working Families Party for eight years. Since her election to the state senate in 2018, she has focused on labor rights and progressive policy initiatives.
