Sheikh Rahman

Sheikh Rahman is a Bangladeshi-American politician serving as a member of the Georgia State Senate, representing the 5th district since 2019. Born in Bangladesh, he immigrated to the United States and settled in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He is notable for being the first Muslim lawmaker to serve in the Georgia State Legislature. Rahman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia, which he earned in 1995. Throughout his tenure, he has focused on representing his constituents in Gwinnett County and advocating for diverse communities within the state.
