Shigefumi Matsuzawa is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Councillors. A graduate of Keio University and the Matsushita Institute of Government and Management, he has held a diverse range of political offices, including serving as the Governor of Kanagawa Prefecture for two terms and as a member of the House of Representatives. Throughout his career, Matsuzawa has been a vocal advocate for administrative reform, the promotion of local autonomy, and the implementation of strict anti-smoking ordinances. He has also been actively involved in initiatives such as the reconstruction of the Edo Castle keep and the promotion of electric vehicle infrastructure.
