斎京 四郎

Shiro Saikyo is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the Niigata Prefectural Assembly representing the Joetsu City constituency. Before entering politics, he had a long career as a high school social studies teacher and administrator, and served as a guidance counselor for the Niigata Prefectural Board of Education. He holds a Master's degree in Education from Joetsu University of Education. Since his first election to the prefectural assembly in 2018, he has focused on regional revitalization, addressing population decline, and promoting local history and culture. He emphasizes a 'field-first' approach to policy, aiming to create sustainable environments for the younger generation in his home region.
