Akihiro Nishimura is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives. A graduate of Waseda University, he previously worked as a policy secretary for lawmaker Hiroshi Mitsuzuka before being elected to the Diet. Throughout his career, he has held several high-level government positions, including Minister of the Environment, Minister of State for Nuclear Emergency Preparedness, and Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary. Nishimura is known for his conservative political stances, supporting constitutional reform and the inclusion of the Self-Defense Forces in Article 9 of the Constitution. He has also served as the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Security.
