Shojiro Hiranuma is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives. The son of veteran politician Takeo Hiranuma, he worked in the IT sector before entering politics. After an initial unsuccessful bid as an independent in 2017, he was elected to the House of Representatives in 2021 and subsequently joined the Liberal Democratic Party. He has held positions such as Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Reconstruction and Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Cabinet Office, and currently serves as the Director of the Youth Division of the Liberal Democratic Party. His political activities include membership in several conservative policy groups, and he has advocated for responsible fiscal policies.
