Sihle Lonzi is a South African politician serving as a Member of the National Assembly since November 2024. A former student activist at the University of Cape Town, he was involved in the Rhodes Must Fall movement and served as the president of the EFF Students Command from 2022 to 2025. Upon entering Parliament, he was appointed to the Portfolio Committee on Higher Education and the Portfolio Committee on Sport, Arts and Culture. Lonzi is noted for his advocacy regarding student debt, having introduced a private member’s bill in 2025 aimed at the total cancellation of student debt in South Africa.
