Siim Kallas is an Estonian politician who served as Prime Minister of Estonia from 2002 to 2003, as a European Commissioner from 2004 to 2014, and as a member of the Riigikogu until his retirement from politics in 2024. A co-founder of the liberal Estonian Reform Party, he played a pivotal role in post-Soviet economic reforms, including the restoration of Estonia's currency, the kroon, as President of the Bank of Estonia.
