Simona Petrík is a Slovak politician currently serving as a member of the National Council of Slovakia. First elected in 2016, she has been a prominent advocate for women's rights, family policy, and healthcare reform, notably challenging discriminatory practices in maternity care and pushing for expanded paternity leave. Before her political career, she worked in language education and founded the Women's Platform of Slovakia. After stints with the Network and Democrats parties, she joined Progressive Slovakia in 2021 and returned to parliament in 2023.
