Sofie Marhaug

Sofie Marhaug is a Norwegian politician representing the Red Party. She has served as a member of the Storting for Hordaland since 2021 and was re-elected for the 2025–2029 term. In addition to her parliamentary duties, where she serves on the Standing Committee on Energy and the Environment, she has been the first deputy leader of the Red Party since 2024. Previously, she was a member of the Bergen municipal council starting in 2011. Marhaug is known for her political advocacy, including her 2024 nomination of Julian Assange for the Nobel Peace Prize.
