Sonia Kumar

Sonia Kumar is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Dudley since 2024. Before entering politics, she worked as an NHS physiotherapist. Upon her election, she became the first woman and the first person of color to represent the Dudley constituency. In March 2026, she was appointed as the Cabinet Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister, Darren Jones.
