Sonia Rincón Chanona is a Mexican politician and educator who has served four terms as a federal deputy in the Mexican Congress. Born in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, she began her career as a primary school teacher and school director before entering politics. Throughout her career, she has been affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), the New Alliance Party (PANAL), and currently the National Regeneration Movement (Morena). In addition to her legislative work, she served as the Secretary of Education for the state of Chiapas from 2016 to 2018.
