Nomasonto Evelyn Motaung is a South African politician currently serving as a Member of the National Assembly. First elected to Parliament in 2019, she previously served as the Speaker of the Mafube Local Municipality from 2016 to 2019. Between March 2023 and 2024, she held the position of Deputy Minister in the Presidency under President Cyril Ramaphosa. Motaung has been active in various parliamentary committees, including the Portfolio Committee on Trade and Industry, and was a member of the African National Congress Youth League's National Youth Task Team. After an unsuccessful bid for re-election in the 2024 general election, she returned to the National Assembly following a vacancy.
