Sophie Primas

Sophie Primas is a French politician who has served as a Senator for the Yvelines department since 2011. A graduate of ESSEC and UniLaSalle, she previously served as the mayor of Aubergenville and held various leadership roles within the Les Républicains party. Throughout her career, she has chaired the Senate Economic Affairs Committee and served as a vice-president of the Senate. In 2024 and 2025, she held ministerial positions in the Barnier and Bayrou governments, including Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and government spokesperson, before returning to her seat in the Senate.
