Philippe Paul is a French politician currently serving as a Senator for the Finistère department. Born in Douarnenez, he studied political and historical sciences in Rennes and served as a colonel in the Air Force's citizen reserve. Before his election to the Senate in 2008, he held various local offices, including Mayor of Douarnenez and General Councilor for the canton of Douarnenez. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has been an active member of the Senate's Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense, and Armed Forces, and he notably supported Alain Juppé during the 2016 presidential primary.
