Spencer Chandra Herbert is a Canadian politician serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. First elected in a 2008 by-election, he has represented the Vancouver-West End riding since 2009. A member of the BC NDP, he has served as Deputy Speaker of the Legislature and was appointed Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport following the 2024 general election. Previously, he served as a Vancouver Park Board commissioner. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, tenant protections, and environmental sustainability.
