Mike Farnworth

Mike Farnworth is a Canadian politician serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia for the riding of Port Coquitlam. A long-standing member of the British Columbia New Democratic Party, he has held various cabinet positions, including Minister of Transportation and Transit, Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General, and Deputy Premier. Before his extensive career in provincial politics, which began with his first election in 1991, he served on the Port Coquitlam City Council and worked in the private sector for companies such as CP Rail and Gulf Oil. Farnworth is recognized for his long-term legislative experience and his leadership roles within the NDP caucus.
