Lisa Beare is a Canadian politician serving as a member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia for the electoral district of Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows since 2017. A member of the New Democratic Party, she has held several cabinet positions, including Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Minister of Citizens' Services, and Minister of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills. In 2024, she was appointed Minister of Education and Child Care. Before entering provincial politics, Beare served as a Maple Ridge school board trustee and worked as a flight attendant for Air Transat, where she was active in the Canadian Union of Public Employees.
