Peter James Maloway is a Canadian politician who serves as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, representing the constituency of Elmwood. He is the longest-serving current member of the Manitoba legislature, having first been elected in 1986. Beyond his extensive provincial career, Maloway served as a Member of Parliament for the federal riding of Elmwood—Transcona from 2008 to 2011. Throughout his career, he has been a vocal advocate for consumer rights, notably introducing a private member's bill aimed at establishing an airline passenger's bill of rights. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Manitoba.
