Stéphane Fouassin

Stéphane Fouassin is a French politician currently serving as a member of the French Senate representing the department of Réunion. He was elected to the Senate in 2023. Prior to his national legislative role, he served as the mayor of the commune of Salazie for 25 years, holding the office from 1998 until 2023. He is a member of the European Democratic Force (FED) and has been a prominent figure in local Réunionese politics for over two decades.
