Stan Gunter

Norman Stanley Gunter is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives for District 8. A Republican, he has chaired the House Judiciary Committee since 2023. Before his legislative career, Gunter served as a District Attorney for the Enotah Circuit for 12 years and later as a Superior Court judge, where he established a successful drug court. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from North Georgia College and a Juris Doctor from the Woodrow Wilson College of Law.
