Stephan Mayer

Stephan Mayer is a German lawyer and politician who has served as a member of the Bundestag since 2002. A member of the Christian Social Union (CSU), he previously held the position of Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of the Interior from 2018 to 2021 and briefly served as the Secretary General of the CSU in 2022. Throughout his parliamentary career, Mayer has focused on internal affairs, sports policy, and privacy law, serving on various committees including the Parliamentary Oversight Panel. He is known for his work on refugee and migration policy and has held leadership roles in several foundations and organizations, including the Federation of Expellees.
