Stephanie Chang is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Michigan Senate, representing the 3rd district since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2015 to 2023. Chang is the first Asian American woman to serve in the Michigan Legislature. Her legislative career has focused on criminal justice reform, environmental protection, and education. Before entering office, she worked extensively as a community organizer in Detroit.
