Stephen Lawrence

Stephen Lawrence is an Australian politician and barrister currently serving as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council. Before his election to the state parliament in 2023, he served as the Mayor of the Dubbo Regional Council. A lawyer by profession since 2001, Lawrence has extensive experience in criminal and administrative law, including work as a public defender in the Solomon Islands and as a government justice advisor in Afghanistan. He is known for his advocacy in human rights and social justice, including his support for Palestinian communities.
