Steve Dimopoulos is an Australian politician who has served as the Member for Oakleigh in the Victorian Legislative Assembly since 2014. Of Greek descent, he previously served as the Mayor of the City of Monash and held various ministerial portfolios, including Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events, and Minister for Creative Industries. A member of the Labor Party, Dimopoulos is noted for being one of the first openly gay frontbenchers in the Parliament of Victoria and has been a vocal advocate for urban infrastructure projects like the Level Crossing Removal Project.
