Steve Witherden is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Montgomeryshire and Glyndŵr since 2024. Ideologically aligned with the left, he is a member of the Socialist Campaign Group. Before entering politics, Witherden worked as a teacher for 18 years and served as a trade union representative. In Parliament, he sits on the Welsh Affairs Select Committee and has advocated for the creation of Great British Energy and the elimination of zero-hour contracts. He is married with two children.
