Strom Peterson is an American politician serving as a member of the Washington House of Representatives for the 21st Legislative District. In addition to his legislative duties, he was appointed to the Snohomish County Council in 2022. Prior to his state-level service, he was a member of the Edmonds City Council, where he served as Council President. Peterson is known for his legislative work on public safety and animal welfare, including sponsoring legislation to ban assault weapons and authoring a bill to prohibit octopus farming in Washington state.
