Sumitro Chatterjee

Sumitro Chatterjee is an Indian politician serving as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly representing the Naihati constituency. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he was elected in the 2026 assembly elections after defeating the incumbent candidate. Outside of his legislative duties, Chatterjee is a practicing advocate at the Calcutta High Court and serves as a director for Macronova Apparels private limited. He holds a law degree from the University of Calcutta and is a native of Bally, West Bengal.
