Susan Pha

Susan Pha is an American politician and businesswoman currently serving as a member of the Minnesota Senate for the 38th district. Born in Laos, she immigrated to the United States as a refugee at age three and was raised in California as part of the Hmong community. Before entering state politics, she worked as a real estate agent and founded a publishing company. She previously served on the Brooklyn Park City Council, becoming the first person of color elected to that body, and was elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2022 as the second Hmong woman to hold the position.
