Susanna Cherchi

Susanna Cherchi is an Italian politician serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies since October 2022, representing the Five Star Movement. Born in Iglesias in 1955, she holds a degree in geological sciences from the Sapienza University of Rome and previously worked as a secondary school teacher of mathematics and science. Throughout her parliamentary tenure, she has served on the Culture, Science and Education Committee, the Agriculture Committee, and the Parliamentary Commission for the contrast of disadvantages deriving from insularity. Her legislative work includes proposals aimed at strengthening animal protection laws within the Italian penal code.
