Susanne Schaper

Susanne Schaper is a German politician and member of the Landtag of Saxony. Born in 1978 in Karl-Marx-Stadt, she trained as a nurse and later studied nursing management, frequently participating in medical aid missions in Vietnam. A member of The Left (Die Linke), she has served in the Chemnitz City Council since 2009 and was elected to the Landtag of Saxony in 2014. Since September 2024, she has served as the chair of the Left parliamentary group in the Saxon Landtag, focusing on social, health, and family policy.
