T. R. Zeliang is an Indian politician currently serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland. A veteran leader of the Naga People's Front, he previously served two terms as the Chief Minister of Nagaland from 2014 to 2017 and 2017 to 2018. Throughout his extensive career, he has held various ministerial portfolios in the state government, including Planning, Geology and Mining, and Parliamentary Affairs. Additionally, he represented Nagaland in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament, from 2004 to 2008. He has been a consistent representative for the Peren Assembly constituency since 2008.
