Tajinder Grewal

Tajinder Grewal is a Canadian politician serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan for the constituency of Saskatoon University-Sutherland. Elected in the 2024 general election, he made history as one of the first turban-wearing Sikhs to serve in the provincial legislature. Before entering politics, Grewal held a distinguished career in science, earning a PhD in plant science from Punjab Agricultural University and working as a researcher at the University of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Research Council. He also served as the head of genomics at SGS Canada and was president of the Punjabi Cultural Association of Saskatchewan from 2010 to 2012.
