David Shepherd

David Shepherd is a Canadian politician serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for the constituency of Edmonton-City Centre. First elected in 2015, he has held various roles within the Alberta New Democratic Party caucus, including serving as the Health Critic and currently as the Shadow Minister for Public Safety and Emergency Services and Deputy House Leader. Before his political career, Shepherd worked in communications, music, and as a public servant. He is noted for his advocacy in areas such as public health and cultural recognition, including his work to establish Black History Month in Alberta.
