若宮健嗣

Kenji Wakamiya is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives. A graduate of Keio University, he worked in the private sector at Seizon Group before entering national politics. Throughout his career, he has held several high-level government positions, including Minister for the World Expo 2025, Minister of State for Consumer Affairs and Food Safety, and State Minister of Defense. Wakamiya is known for his focus on security policy, including the development of cross-domain defense capabilities and the promotion of defense equipment exports. He advocates for constitutional reform and has been active in various parliamentary leagues related to foreign affairs, defense, and economic security. Following a brief period out of office, he returned to the Diet in 2026 and currently serves as the Chairman of the LDP's Foreign Affairs Research Commission.
