Tamer Akkal is a Turkish politician and businessman currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey representing Manisa. Born in 1974 in Manisa, he completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in his hometown before graduating from the Department of Journalism at Istanbul University's Faculty of Communication. Akkal began his parliamentary career in 2018 when he was elected as a deputy for the IYI Party. He subsequently resigned from the IYI Party to join the Justice and Development Party (AKP), and he was re-elected to the parliament in the 2023 general elections.
