After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University, he worked as a banker at the Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank and Mizuho Bank. His political career began with his election to the Ota Ward Assembly in Tokyo, followed by two terms in the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly. After transitioning to national politics and experiencing several electoral challenges, he was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2021 via the proportional representation block. He secured his seat through a district victory in 2024 and was re-elected in 2026.
